  • Account & registration: your name, mobile number, and email address when you register in the app.
  • Eye donation pledge: details you voluntarily submit if you choose to pledge (such as name and contact details).
  • Consult a Doctor: your name, city, email, phone number, and the question you post when you contact a registered doctor through the Services.
  • Doctor accounts: if you register as an ophthalmologist, your professional details (name, qualification, clinic/hospital, city, state, country, mobile, email) and the educational content you publish.

b. Information collected automatically

  • Device identifier: a randomly generated ID used to distinguish app installations and sync your preferences.
  • Usage & wellness data: screen-time duration, blink-reminder intervals, and eye-exercise activity used to power reminders and on-device statistics.
  • App & platform information: app version and operating system, used for updates and troubleshooting.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create and manage your account and deliver the core features of the Services.
  • To send blink reminders, screen-break prompts, and eye-wellness guidance.
  • To display community statistics (for example, total number of users and donors) in aggregate.
  • To route your “Consult a Doctor” questions to the relevant registered ophthalmologist.
  • To notify you of app updates, important changes, and support responses.
  • To maintain the security, integrity, and reliability of the Services.

3. How Your Information Is Shared

  • With doctors you contact: when you post a question through “Consult a Doctor”, the details you provide are made available to the ophthalmologist you selected (or to doctors in your city) so they can respond.
  • Service providers: we use secure hosting to store data on our behalf. They may process data only to provide these services to us.
  • Legal reasons: we may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Services.
  • We do not sell your personal information to any third party.

4. Notifications & Permissions

The apps request permission to show local notifications so we can deliver blink reminders and screen-break prompts. You can disable notifications at any time from your device or operating system settings. The desktop app runs a floating reminder clock and may run in the background/system tray to time your reminders.

5. Data Storage & Security

Registration and pledge data are stored in a secured database. Reminder settings and screen-time tracking used by the desktop app are stored locally on your device. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information; however, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and comply with our legal obligations. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see “Your Rights”).

7. Your Rights

  • Access, correct, or update the personal information associated with your account.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated personal data.
  • Opt out of reminder notifications through your device settings.
